lucy [she/her] is a london-based maker of functional ceramics and art objects

integrating lucy's values as both an artist and art psychotherapist, her work aims to help people find groundedness throughout life's moments, however big or small. when life can be so fast paced, there's significance in the ritual of slowing down; whether through holding the comforting mug of coffee that wakes you up every morning, enjoying dessert from your favourite bowl after a long day, or seeing a sculpture that gives form to your feelings, the objects you surround yourself with can provide an invitation to pause and be present in the here-and-now

lucy began experimenting with clay during a hand-building course at university and was inspired by her grandad's love of pottery to have a go at throwing pots on the wheel following graduation. ten years on, she teaches pottery classes, facilitates clay-based therapeutic workshops and continues to combine hand-building and throwing techniques to create meaningful objects that help make the everyday less ordinary
